Review

When you first hear about the movie and see two of the most popular stars of Hollywood (Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie) and then you read the words Action, Thriller, Drama. First impression you will get will be that its a movie worth paying for. But, once you get to watch the movie, your first impression will be a bit changed (a bit).

The Tourist stars Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in a very promising plot. Jolie plays the role of Elise, a sexy mysterious woman who ensnares spy-fiction fan Frank Tupelo (played by Depp) into her very own web of international crime.Chief Inspector Jones (Timothy Dalton) orders Scotland Yard's John Acheson played (by Paul Bettany) to try his best to keep up Elise and the man he believes she is connected to Alexander Pearce.

The plot that looks good on the paper the execution of it all leaves a little something to be desired. The main problem with the movie is expectations. When someone read the names they expect a bit better than what they get in the movie.

The Tourist has some strong points and some weak as well. The visuals are stunning, there is eye candy everywhere. The action scenes are exciting and even the dialogue are charming. but, Tourist seems to have its pre-production story a bit of an identity crisis. the movie feels intense and brooding at times but at others it feels like a carefree romp. The dialogue and script are good. The Tourist ain't the perfect movie but if you want to spend a weekend night watching a movie, I will say go for it for once.
