Deepika Padukone is all set to work alongside Shahid Kapoor in the Sabbir Khan's movie Heer and Ranja
Sabbir Khan said that Deepika Padukone was their first choice for the movie as the cast for the new upcoming movie Heer and Ranja was announced.
"I felt that the Heer's part needed somebody who is young and dynamic," said Khan.
"I just couldn't see anybody beyond Deepika for the role, as I feel that she is one of the finest female actors among the Gen-Next's brigade."
The director of the movie Heer and Ranja, Sabbir Khan was excited on being able to see the two together in the movie saying that everyone wanted to see the pair together in the movie.
"Everybody is excited to see the pair together," she added.
